Directions to the Opera House and Parking Information

From Chicago Loop: 1.5 hours (non-rush hour) I-94 North to I-90 West (Northwest Tollway to Rockford) to Illinois Rt. 47 (2nd off after 2nd toll). Right (North) on Route 47, through Huntley (careful of speed traps) into Woodstock. Turn left (West on Calhoun St) one block after 4th stoplight (Fair Grounds on your right –Drive-thru Bank on your left). Pass over railroad tracks to second stop sign (Dean St). Back of Opera House is to your right. 24-Hour Municipal Parking Lot is to your left. Note: to go around the Square, you must and go counter clockwise (one way) to avoid a ticket or accident.

From Rockford IL: 45 minutes (non-rush hour). I-90 East (Northwest Tollway) to US route 20 East to Marengo. Turn left (North) on Illinois Route 23 (State St.) to Illinois Route 176 (about seven blocks). Right (East) on 176 (Telegraph St.) to Illinois Route 47. Turn left (North) on 47 into Woodstock. Turn left (West on Calhoun Street) one block after 4th stoplight (Fair Grounds on your right – drive-thru Bank on your left). Pass over railroad tracks to second stop sign (Dean Street). Back of Opera House is to your right. A 24-hour Municipal Parking Lot is to your left. From Lake Geneva, WI: 30 minutes. Go South on Wisconsin Route 120. After crossing the state line, 120 turns into Illinois Route 47. Continue South on 47 into Woodstock. Turn right (West) on Calhoun Street (McHenry County Fairgrounds on your left). Pass over railroad tracks to second stop sign (Dean Street). Back of Opera House is to your right. 24-Hour Municipal Parking Lot is to your left. Note: to go around the Square, you must turn right on to the Square and go counter clockwise (one way) to avoid a ticket or accident.
